A stud-shaped grip element for sports shoes with a grip element body (1) and a ceramic insert (2) which forms the tread surface of the grip element and is connected to the grip element body (1). The grip element body (1) consists of a central metal part (4) and a grip element base (3) surrounding the latter. The ceramic insert (2) is connected to the lower end (6) of the metal part (4) by soldering or gluing. The grip element base (3) can be a separate part which can be fitted onto the metal part (4) by pushing on (Fig. 1). <IMAGE>
