PURPOSE:To prevent a change of color from atracting attention and the color of a graphic from largely changing on the way of drawing a picture by once storing the data of respective layers in one display unit successively receiving one layer by one layer in a buffer memory. CONSTITUTION:When a data unit fetched in a CPU 6 is indentified to be a multilayer graphic data unit, the CPU 6 detects the number of display units, the number of layers in one display unit and the number of picture elements. The first layer of the first display unit successively fetched is decoded by a decoder 18, converted to the picture element data of one bit for one picture element and stored in an area N1 of a pattern buffer memory 17. Thereafter, similarly, the respective picture element data is stored in areas N2-N5. Every one block in the display unit on the data in the areas N1-N5 of the pattern buffer memory 17 is read and stored in areas M1-M5 of a display memory 11, respectively. The data is read by a display control circuit 10, converted into three primary color signal by a color map table 12 and thereafter converted into an analog signal by a D/A converting circuit and conducted. |
