There is described a remotely manipulatable holding and positioning device for the nuts, arranged on the rear side of a fixed flange, of a pipeline flanged joint capable of being screwed by remote manipulation. Loose and fixed flange of the pipeline flanged joint have, with the same master gauge for holes, in each case three passage holes. To provide a holding and positioning device which is well suited to remotely manipulated use in a nuclear installation, it is proposed that the nuts (5) are fastened to a triangular frame (9) in accordance with the master gauge for holes of the flanges (15). One side of the frame (9) is open for mounting on the pipe connection (14) of the fixed flange (15). Formed on the pipe connection (14) is a guiding hollow (17) into which a guiding pin (13), arranged on the frame (9) perpendicularly to the nut plane, can be inserted. A stop, limiting the yielding movement of the frame (9) away from the fixed flange (15), is provided. The frame (9) is equipped with a handling hook (11) projecting beyond the flange diameter. After mounting, the centre of gravity of the entire device brings about alignment with the passage holes (16). <IMAGE>
