The present combination of switching apparatuses, for reversible-pole motors, comprises an operating switch for switching on the starting stage and the operating stage, and in addition a preselection switch which sets both the rotation speed and rotation direction of the motor which is to be controlled. In this case, the preselection switch can be operated only when the operating switch is in the switched-off position.
