Support part for optical fibre couplings

A plate-shaped support part (1) has juxtaposed couplings (3) for incoming and outgoing optical fibres (4, 5). The incoming optical fibres (4) are divided into two subblocks which extend on both sides of the couplings (3). Criss-crossing one another, they are led from there respectively in the shape of a semicircle to the opposite half row of the couplings (3). This permits a relatively large radius of curvature in conjunction with compact dimensions of the support part (1). <IMAGE>
