In a method for securing premises by means of a directional microwave path, the transmitter is pulsed in order to reduce the power consumption. These paths are, however, very susceptible to radiation arriving from external sources. In order to eliminate this susceptibility to interference, the microwave signal from the oscillator (2) is additionally modulated during the release period by the time pattern (1) with a frequency from a sine-wave oscillator (5). This modulated signal is then transmitted via the antenna (4) to the receiver. <IMAGE>
