The water distribution system described is planned for a mobile or stationary decontamination plant. The contaminated water is taken in by suction from a shower 24 with the aid of a pump 11 and pumped into a vessel 9 for degassing. From there, the water under constant pressure passes via a pump 1 to a heat exchanger 6, the primary circuit 7 of which is connected to a continuous flow heater 3. Downstream of the continuous flow heater 3 is arranged a delay vessel 4 from where the water heated to about 140 DEG C is passed through the secondary circuit 8 of the heat exchanger 6. Subsequently thereto, the water is cooled in a cooler 5 and, if required, passed through an active charcoal filter 21 for secondary decontamination. From there, the water passes to a pressurising valve 2. The pressurising valve 2 is connected to a consumer, for example a shower 15. <IMAGE>
