PURPOSE:To obtain a recording sheet capable of giving a clear image, by incorporating an alkylimidazoline-type amphoteric surface active agent into a film comprising a mixture of a polyvinyl alcohol having a saponification degree of not less than 75% and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, in an amount of 0.1-5wt% based on the total amount of the resin. CONSTITUTION:The saponification degree of the polyvinyl alcohol must be not less than 75%, because a saponification degree of less than 75% results in poor compatibility with polyvinyl pyrrolidone. Polyvinyl pyrrolidone preferably has a molecular weight of 10,000-1,200,000. The mixing ratio of polyvinyl alcohol to polyvinyl pyrrolidone is suitably 90:10-10:90, from the viewpoint of dryability of the ink. The alkylimidazoline-type amphoteric surface active agent is used in an amount of 0.1-5wt%. If the amount of the agent is less than 0.1wt%, the effect of the agent is not displayed, whereas if the amount of more than 5wt%, the recording sheet becomes tacky, making it difficult to put the recording sheet to practical use. |
