PURPOSE:To prevent a ribbonless impact from occurring due to an unintentional movement of a ribbon, by providing a ribbon guide having two guide parts respectively for a color ink ribbon and a black ink ribbon. CONSTITUTION:The single ribbon guide 10 is provided with color ribbon guide parts 11, 11' conforming to the width of a color ink ribbon and black ribbon guide parts 12, 12' conforming to the width of a black ink ribbon, the guide parts 11, 11' being disposed on the outside of the guide parts 12, 12'. The ribbon guide 10 can be vertically moved through engagement of holes provided at centers of the guide parts 12, 12' with guide pins 14, 14' erected on a metallic member 13 fitted to a carrier, and can be stopped at any of a plurality of positions by engaging a fastening spring 16 into one of a plurality of recesses provided in fastening parts 15, 15'. Accordingly, because the color ribbon guide parts and the black ribbon guide parts are provided separately from each other, a ribbonless impact will not occur even when the black ribbon is used. |
