PURPOSE:To enable the facilitation of hobbing work of male and female rotors by forming the seal edges of male and female rotors in a circular arc shape and further forming the dedendum part of the female rotor in a circular arc shape. CONSTITUTION:The seal edge Ef of the female rotor F of a screw compressor is formed in a circular arc shape being short in height and further the seal edge Em of the male rotor M is also formed in a circular arc shape. And the seal edges Ef, Em of both rotors F, M are formed alike by cutting an ideal tooth profile. Thus, it becomes unnecessary to form seal grooves at the parts opposite to the seal edges Ef, Em, and accordingly the hobbing work of both rotors F, M can be greatly facilitated. Further, since the dedendum undercut part or d2-C2 part of the female rotor F is also formed in a circular arc shape, the difficulty of hobbing work followed by tooth profile generation can be eliminated, enabling to work in a predetermined shape. |
