In a trailer spring braking system accidental response can be triggered by a pressure drop in the reservoir and/or supply line below the release pressure of the spring loaded brake cylinder. In order to avoid this disadvantage the invention proposes that in the pressure medium line from the resevoir to the release chamber of the spring brake cylinder a non-return valve, opening in this direction and closing in the opposite direction, be provided and that a relay valve with a pressure-intensifying control characteristic be connected to its output side, the control connection of which relay valve is connected to the supply line. <IMAGE>
