The stop rail consists of the two parts (1, 2). Part (1) is designed as a light metal profile and receives in the receiving groove (5) the leg (12) of the second part (2). This second part (2) is made of plastic and has a foot part (6). The height of the leg (12) can easily be reduced by a knife or the like, as a result of which the stop rail can be adapted to the respective conditions which arise in the case of subsequent installation of a wooden frame in door openings. <IMAGE>
