The invention relates to a device for adjusting a rotating tool (20), in particular a boring bar (4), with a tool holder which is eccentrically and adjustably attached to a spindle (2). The tool holder has a diaphragm (5) which is fastened radially on the outside to the spindle (2) and merges radially on the inside into a pin (14) which is eccentrically guided in a bearing bush (17) which can be rotated with an adjusting rod (25) arranged in the hollow spindle (2). This adjusting system has high rigidity and permits re-boring during the forward motion and fine boring during the return motion at an appropriate infeed of the tool without a tool change. <IMAGE>
