PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper switcher that is easily and simply switchable between the formation of normal winding package to which a contact pressure is loaded and the soft-winding package without the damper contact pressure, when a false-twisted yarn is wound up. SOLUTION: In the cradle 10, the pat holder unit as a damping mechanism is made separable from the damper plate 24, the jig 40 is used to move the relative position between the damper plate 24 and the cradle 10 and they are fixed. In an embodiment, a jig-inserting hole 41 is bored on the damper pad sliding face 28, the pat holder 20 and the holder 22 are fitted or separated by inserting the jig 40 into the hole 41 thereby actuating the damper mechanism or not.
