POLYURETHANE BINDER AND ELASTIC PAVING MEMBER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyurethane binder composition having a sufficiently long pot life in an elastic paving member obtained by mixing fillers with a polyurethane binder, filling the resultant mixture in a metal mold and heating and pressure molding the mixture and excellent in hot curability and to provide the elastic paving member using the same. SOLUTION: This polyurethane binder comprises 100 pts.wt. of a urethane prepolymer prepared by reacting an organic polyisocyanate with an active hydrogen compound and having molecular terminals which are isocyanate groups and 0.1-3.0 pts.wt. of an oleic salt of 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undecene-7. The active hydrogen compound is a polyoxyalkylene polyol obtained by carrying out an addition polymerization of a compound having 2-6 hydroxyl groups in the molecule with propylene oxide and/or ethylene oxide. The elastic paving member is prepared by adding the polyurethane binder in an amount of 5-30 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a filler thereto and molding the resultant mixture.
