PURPOSE:To stabilize the form of a gel zinc negative electrode, by filling a mixture of mercuric zinc powder and a gelling agent in a sealing plate, and then pouring an electrolyte through a nozzle whose injecting diameter is set in a specific ratio to the inner diameter of the sealing plate. CONSTITUTION:In a sealing plate 2 incorporated with an insulating gasket 1, is filled a mixture 3 of mercuric zinc powder and a gelling agent. Then, by using an injection nozzle 5a whose diameter phi1a and the practical inner diameter phi2 of the sealing plate 1 is set at a ratio 15 to 40:100, an electrolyte is poured in to make up a button type cell of alkaline manganese cell or mer cury cell with an alkaline electrolyte. Therefore, by adjusting the ratio of the nozzle diameter phi1a and the sealing plate inner diameter phi2, a partial piling of a gel zinc electrode or the like, as well as a scattering of the electrolyte can be prevented, and the manufacture of the cell can be stabilized. |
