In response to the forward or reverse rotation force from the assiting motor the shift control mechanism shifts a tape drive mechanism including a head position control mechanism to a position for forward or reverse tape feed. Thus, when a gear is driven anticlockwise by a reel motor, a friction member is moved anticlockwise. As a result, the gear supported by a projection from the friction member, is caused to engage a gear of the reel holder to rotate it clockwise. |
