PURPOSE:To manufacture a rubber hose having favorable locational slippage preventive beads by a method wherein uncured tubular rubber member is cured and molded under the state that the uncured tubular rubber member, which is fitted onto a mandrel core, is pressed by split molds so as to be bulged with the compressive force only in the radial direction of a tube. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a tubular rubber member 8 is inserted toward the side of a bead forming device 12 which is fixed to one end of a mandrel core 10, and arranged in the device 12. Secondly, the force-in bolts 36, 36 of the device 12 are screwed in. The mating surfaces of two split molds 22 and 22 abut against each other under the state that the split molds 22 and 22 come to the position concentric to the mandrel core 10 so as to clamp the molds 22 and 22. The outer peripheral surface of the tubular rubber member 3 is pressed with the inner surfaces of the respective split molds 22 by the controlled pressing amount. Consequently, the outer peripheral surface of the tubular rubber member 8 is bulged in concave grooves 32 and 32 in order to form a pair of beads 4 at the end of the tubular rubber member 8. Thirdly, another bead forming device 14 is insertedly fitted to the other end of the mandrel core 10 in order to similarly form 4. Finally, under the state as mentioned above, the predetermined curing operation is applied so as to form locational slippage preventing parts 6. |
