PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having a high sensitivity and an excellent graininess and an excellent photographic performance such as a gradiation and a development proceeding by incorporating an org. metal salt to an intermediate layer lying between two layers of silver halide emulsions formed on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The titled material is prepared by forming at least one layer of the nonsensitive intermediate between at least two silver halide emulsion layers and the two emulsion layers and then by incorporating the org. metal salt composed of a heterocyclic compd. contg. a sulfur atom or a nitrogen atom and a metallic ion to the intermediate layer. As the heterocyclic compd. is preferably used a triazole, a tetrazole, an imidazole and an another compd. which has a development controlling effect. As the metallic ion is preferably used Ag, Au, Cu, Ni, Pa, Pt and Pb. The org. metal salt has preferably pKsp value of 13-17. The org. metal salt is used to the photosensitive material in an amount of 1X10<-4>-1X10<-1>g/(m)<2> the photosensitive material. |
