PURPOSE: A plane illumination device is provided to have high performance and to be capable of being fabricated with low cost. CONSTITUTION: A plane illumination device comprises a long lamp(21) which is located at one side of a light guide plate(22) having the first hologram(28). A reflection plate(23) is located below the light guide plate(22), and the first diffusion plate(24), prism plates(25,26) and the second diffusion plate(26) are sequentially stacked on the light guide plate. The first hologram(28) has the same shape as a mask used to fabricate the hologram(28). |
