摘要

PURPOSE:To improve transmission efficiency and economy when information consisting of characters and graphic forms is transmitted by transmitting a character code for character information and a dot pattern for other information while dividing information into areas corresponding to character lines. CONSTITUTION:Screen information is stored previously in a memory device 1. When screen information is transmitted through a communication circuit 17, one page of it is read out to a screen buffer 15. A line segmentation part 11 extracts one-line information on a screen from the information in the buffer 15. When there is character codes in the screen information, a character code processing part 12 refers to a character pattern table 16 to use basic character codes as they are or in another case read dot patterns of other characters out of the table 16. A transmission information generation part 13 transmits the information processed by the character code processing part 12 after adding discrimination information between character code information and dot pattern information and other pieces of control information.
