PURPOSE:To provide the titled molding which has excellent transparency and exhibits low optical distortion, by molding a polycarbonate compsn. consisting of an arom. polycarbonate and a styrene copolymer. CONSTITUTION:An arom. polycarbonate (A) having an average MW of 12,000-22,000 obtd. by reacting an arom. diol (e.g. bisphenol A) with phosgene in an aq. alkali soln./methylene chloride solvent system is melt-kneaded together with 1-30wt% styrene copolymer (B) having a number-average MW of 10,000-200,000 and 5-50wt% N-substd. maleimide copolymer composition contg. 45-85wt% N-substd. arom. maleimide, obtd. by copolymerizing a styrene compd. [e.g. (alpha-methyl)styrene] and at least two N-substd. maleimides to obtain a polycarbonate compsn. If desired, 0.01-2wt% phosphite ester is added to the compsn. and the mixture is molded at a molten resin temp. of 280-350 deg.C and a mold surface temp. of 80-130 deg.C to obtain the titled molding having haze of 5% or below. |
