发明名称 SPLICING MACHINE FOR OPTICAL FIBER
摘要 PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization and to obtain a highly efficient irradiation by disposing a light condensing lens in front of a ray source and a concave mirror at the back and irradiating a powerful ultraviolet ray to an optical fiber with the aid of the reflected light of the concave mirror and the convergence of the light condensing lens. CONSTITUTION:Since the light condensing lens 23 and the spherical concave mirror 27 are disposed in front of and at the back of the ultraviolet ray source 22, respectively, out of ultraviolet lays emitted from the ray source 22 both forward and backward ultraviolet rays can be used. Therefore even if the ultraviolet ray source 22 is of a small capacity, it can irradiate powerfully optical fibers 11 and 12. Thus an ultraviolet ray source mechanism 20 can be scaled down, and the entire machine can be miniaturized to obtain a connector for an optical fiber, which is equipped with an ultraviolet ray source mechanism capable of irradiating at high efficiency.
