PURPOSE:To provide a curable compsn. having excellent adhesion to the surface of a substrate wetted with water and suitable for use as paints, putty, etc., by mixing a synthetic resin emulsion, a radical-curable resin compsn, cement and a peroxide. CONSTITUTION:An unsaturated alkyd (A) obtd. by reacting a phenolic resin with an epoxy resin contg. 2-4 epoxy groups per molecule in a ratio of 0.5-1 equivalent of the hydroxyl group per equivalent of the epoxy group and adding an alpha,beta-unsaturated polybasic acid (anhydride) (e.g. maleic anhydride) to carry out an esterification reaction, is mixed with a polymerizable monomer (B) (e.g. styrene) to prepare a radical-curable resin compsn. The resin compsn., a synthetic resin emulsion (e.g. acrylic resin emulsion), cement and a peoxide (e.g. benzoyl peroxide) are mixed together to obtain the desired curable compsn. |
