PURPOSE:To improve collecting efficiency of soot, reduce clogging and provide the ventilating fan provided with the filter prominent in cleaning property by a method wherein the filter is made by a metallic wavy plate having multitude of small openings while the filter is constituted so that the direction of the troughs of wavy plate is vertical. CONSTITUTION:The filter 15 is made by a corrugated punching metal 16, therefore, the effective area thereof is large while the rate of perforation is large, therefore, the pressure loss thereof is small. The size of the holes is small, therefore, large particles of oil can be arrested surely while the direction of flow of air becomes diagonal with respect to the holes, therefore, the possibility of collision of oil particles against the filter 15 becomes large and high collecting efficiency may be obtained. The arrested oil is pushed by airflow and is collected into the troughs of the filter 15, then, flows down along the lower part of the troughs and is collected into an oil receiving pan; therefore, clogging of the openings is small as compared with the case of a flat filter. On the other hand, if the height between the crest and trough of the corrugation of the filter 15 is not so large, the filter may be cleaned easily by washing along the direction of the troughs with a brush. |
