摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To get rid of turbo lag by introducing pressurized air from a pressurized air source to an engine air intake system during acceleration so as to quickly rise exhaust pressure at an early stage of acceleration, and quicken the build-up of supercharging pressure. CONSTITUTION:With an ignition switch on, a flow control valve 9 is opened to supply pressurized air of an accumulator 6 to an air bearing device 5. By this, a rotary shaft 15 is supported afloat, avoiding contact between the rotary shaft 15 and a bearing 16. When an acceleration-command signal is input into a controller 8, and the supercharging signal of a compressor 3 is below a set value, a flow control valve 10 is opened to introduce pressurized air of the accumulator 6 into an air intake pipe 14, and supercharging pressure at the entrance side of the engine instantly builds up. When the super charging pressure at the engine entrance side overpasses the set value, the flow control valve 10 is closed so that the engine depends on supercharging only by a turbo-charger 2.</p>
