摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled Ti alloy excellent in superplastic properties, specific strength at high temp. and ductility by providing a specific composition consisting of Al, V, Sn, Zr, Mo, Cr, Fe, O and Ti and by properly regulating the volume percentage of an alpha-phase at a specific temp. CONSTITUTION:The Ti alloy consists of, by weight, 5.4-6.6% Al, 1.3-3.1% V, 0.7-1.1% Sn, 0.7-5.3% Zr, 2.2-2.6% Mo, 2.4-3.7% Cr, 1.4-2.8% Fe, 0.10-0.16% O and the balance essentially Ti which is a high-strength heat- resistant Ti alloy having a volume percentage of alpha-phase at 800 deg.C of 30-70% and the balance consisting of beta-phase and suitable for superplastic working. On application of superplastic working of the above Ti alloy, parts having excellent characteristics, such as compressor rotars etc., can be manufactured easily and inexpensively obviating the necessity of cutting work.
