PURPOSE:To make a mask for shielding the light unnecessary, and to execute easily control by forming a shape of a conductive film so that a part where the conductive film is not provided, and a part of a picture element are separated, in a part where two pieces of substrates are superposed. CONSTITUTION:A signal electrode 18, an insulating film 15, and a deviation control film 16 are provided on a lower side substrate 11 of a liquid crystal electrooptical device, and a rubbing processing is performed in one direction. Also, on an upper side substrate 12, a scanning electrode 14, a conductive film 13 and an adhesive film 17 are provided. On the upper face of this film 13, a liquid crystal leading-in groove 22 of a recessed type is formed, and in a part where the upper an the lower side substrates 11, 12 are superposed, a picture element 21 and the leading-in groove 22 are separated from the projecting part of the film 13, and a part where the film 13 is not provided by the adhesive film 17 provided on its projecting part. In such a way, a mask for shielding the light of the optical device becomes unnecessary, and the optical device can be controlled easily by simple constitution. |
