发明名称 DEVICE FOR REFORMING METHANOL FOR FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To generate H2 at high efficiency and to reduce by-product and deterioration of catalyst by feeding necessary amt. of heat for the reforming reaction through a heat pipe provided to a part between a catalytic combustion zone and a reforming reaction zone. CONSTITUTION:The reforming device for methanol for fuel cell consists of a steam drum 11, methanol evaporator 12, methanol reformer 13, low temp. shift converter 14, gas/water separator 15, fuel cell(cell anode 16 and cathode 17) and a catalytic combustion device 19. Heat pipes 20A and 20B are installed between the methanol reformer 13 and the catalytic combustion device 19. Catalytic combustion device 19 side of the heat pipes 20A, 20B is allowed to function as evaporator, and the methanol reformer 13 side thereof is allowed to function as condenser, and both are connected interposing headers 32A, 32B. further, a temp. controller 24 is provided to the header 32A to control the temp. in the heat pipes 20B, 20A not to exceed the limit of heat resistance of reforming catalyst.
