<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplayer film coated tool coated with a Cr film improved in wear resistance, capable of exhibiting a good performance in combination with the known TiAlN-base film coping with high speed cutting and having oxidation resistance and wear resistance, and restraining an increase in frictional resistance due to adhesion and deposition to a material to be cut, so that even in severe cutting environments, abnormal abrasion due to film separation and thermal cracks is not caused. SOLUTION: In this multiplayer film coated tool, a coating layer formed by multi-layer film is provided on the base of the tool, and at least one layer of the coating layer is a TiAlN-base film at least containing Ti and Al as constituents. In the tool, the other layers except the TiAlN-based film in the coating layer are Cr-based films containing one or two kinds of Cr, Si and B as metal component, and one or more kinds of elements of C, N and O, and in the Cr-based film, nitride phase of Si and/or nitride phase of B intervenes in the Cr compound phase.</p> |
