METHOD FOR OPTICAL RESOLUTION OF ORGANIC ACID OF RACEMIC ISOMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing an optically active organic acid useful as an intermediate for synthesizing optically active medicines and agrochemicals. SOLUTION: An organic acid of racemic isomer is treated with optically active 4-amino-2-methylbutan-1-ol and a formed diastereomer salt is crystallized and subjected to a solid-liquid separation. Otherwise, the organic acid of racemic isomer is subjected to optical resolution by a method for separating the diastereomer salt into two layers of a water layer and an organic layer.
