摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To carrying out the fractionation of EO with remarkably decreased heat supplied from external source, by recovering the thermal energy retained in EO vapor generated from the top of an EO fractionating column with a heat-pump, and using the energy as the heat-source for dissipation column and fractionating column. CONSTITUTION:A reaction synthetic gas containing ethylene oxide (EO) and produced by the vapor-phase catalytic oxidation of ethylene is subjected to various steps comprising the absorption (2) of EO, the dissipation (11) of EO from the absorbed liquid, the dehydration (29) of the dissipated EO vapor, and the separation (40) of the light component from the condensed liquid containing EO, and supplied to an EO fractionating column 50. The vapor generated from the top of the fractionating column is sent to the refrigerant evaporator (EO condenser) 70 of a heat-pump and the EO vapor is liquefied. A part of the liquefied EO is recycled (58), and the remaining part is extracted as the objective EO product 71. The refrigerant evaporated by the evaporator 70 is compressed (75) and sent to the reboiler (refrigerant condenser) 60 of the dissipation column. The column bottom liquid is heated with the latent heat of condensation of the refrigerant, the condensed refrigerant is sent to the fractionating column reboiler 78, the sensible heat of the refrigerant is transferred to the column bottom liquid, and the refrigerant is recycled to the evaporator.</p>
