PURPOSE:A treating and preventing agent, containing a specific quinazoline based compound well-known as a hypotensive agent or a pharmacological accpetable salt thereof as an active constituent, continuously administrable for a long period, having high safety and useful for ischemic cardiopathy and arrhythmia. CONSTITUTION:A treating and preventing agent for ischemic cardiopathy and arrhythmia containing a compound, expressed by the formula [R is lower alkyl, phenyl or furyl which may have a substituent group, e.g. methoxy, halogen or methanesulfonyl, or styryl which may have a substituent group, e.g. halogen, methoxy or methylenedioy)] which has been already known to be effective for treating and preventing various hypertensions, e.g. essential hypertension, renal hypertension or malignant hypertension, or a parmacologically acceptable salt thereof, e.g. 2-(N'-butyroyl-homopiperazino)-4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-quinaz- oline or hydrochloride thereof. |
