PURPOSE:To print a plurality of characters in a left-and-right reverse state as a whole and to make it possible to arbitrarily change over usual printing and left-and-right reverse printing, by reversing not only a plurality of character arrangements of a line unit but also each character pattern to obtain a left-and- right printing pattern. CONSTITUTION:The character inputted from an input apparatus 11 is edited as a character code signal by an editing apparatus 12 to be inputted to a character arrangement reversal apparatus 13. Hereupon, when a reversal input is inputted from a reversal control apparatus 17, the arrangement of character code is reversed. At this point of time, character arrangement is reversed left and right. A character pattern is read from a character pattern memory 14 on the basis of the character code to be inputted to a character patter reversal apparatus. When the reversal signal is inputted from the reversal control apparatus 17, the left-and-right reversal of the character pattern is performed and, as the output thereof, a pattern wherein both of character arrangement and the character pattern were reversed is printed by a printer 16. When no signal is inputted from the reversal control apparatus 17, usual printing can be performed. |
