PURPOSE:To decrease contact pressure and to prevent permanent set in fatigue of contactors by rotating >=2 pieces of electrifying rollers which are different in rotating directions and circumferential speeds in contact with a roller to be electrified while maintaining the contact of the contactors thereof with each other. CONSTITUTION:Conductive fiber brushes 9, 13 are flocked to roller bodies 8, 12 to form electrifying rollers 5, 6. The rollers 5, 6 are provided in such a way that the brushes 9, 13 are proximate to contact with each other and that the brushes 9, 13 are approached to a photosensitive drum 7 so as to contact with the surface of the drum 7 in regions a', a''. The rotating directions of the rollers 5, 6 are made opposite from each other as shown by arrows A, B. The contact pressure of the brushes 9, 13 is thus decreased, the permanent set in fatigue of the brushes 9, 13 is prevented and the durability is improved. |
