PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic toner good in magnetic characteristics, superior in durability, and capable of forming a fogless image stably in a long period by incorporating a specified magnetic powder in a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic toner is prepared by incorporating the magnetic powder containing 50-100wt% metallic iron and composed pf particles having an average particle diameter of <=4mum, and other necessary toner components in the binder resin. The particles containing 50-100wt% metallic iron means each particle composed of 50-100wt% metallic iron. When the average particle diameter is >=3mum, it becomes difficult to incorporate the magnetic particles in a surely and uniformly dispersed state in the toner particles, and the toner particles are liable to crack or to chip off, resulting in lowering durability of the toner. |
