PURPOSE:To constitute a carriage which reduces the period for renewing a converter body and assures a safe work by installing a lifting frame which is lifted by a jack between front and rear frames which integrally travel and successively disposing a swiveling frame and converter body receiving shift frame onto the lifting frame. CONSTITUTION:The front and rear frames 2, 3 are integrally connected by a side frame 4 and wheels 5 are attached to the underside of the frames 2, 3. The lifting frame 6 is disposed in the space between the frames 2 and 3 and is connected to the top end of a piston rod 7a of the screw jack 7 so that the frame is lifted by a hanging up type. The swiveling frame 8 constituted to freely turn in a horizontal direction is disposed via bearings 9 onto the frame 6 and the converter body receiving shift frame 11 is disposed via plural pieces of bearings 10 atop said frame. The carriage A for replacing the converter having the above-mentioned constitution is assembled on a pouring carriage 13 and is carried into a building 12 by rails 15. A converter body shell 17 is loaded on the shift frame 11 by swiveling of the frame 8, shifting of the frame 11, etc. and the disassembly work of the converter body 17 is carried out. |
