PURPOSE:To improve machining efficiency by installing a means for detecting the voltage variation due to the variation of the impedance of an electrode gap and cleaning the contamination state of the machining electrode gap. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is applied onto an electrode gap 13 through a resistor 3 from a machining electric-power source 5, a voltage is generated in the resistor 10, corresponding to the impedance of the gap 13. Said voltage is input as a detected signal into a machining-pulse controller 15, which compares the above-described signal and a set standard value, and if the above-described signal is larger, the apparatus 15 outputs an H-level sigal for turning-ON a switching element 7. Electric discharge is generated between the gap 13 by a servomechanism not shown in the figure. |
