The invention relates to an installation for collecting goods for use in warehouses and despatch offices for controlling collection to be carried out manually in accordance with orders. The installation includes, for example, a transportable computer terminal (6) or the like, into which the order details are programmed, which is attached to the collecting trolley (1) or the like and which is carried along by the person (10) doing the collecting. In addition, the installation includes a localisation installation (7, 8), which is connected to the computer terminal or the like and which is designed in such a manner that it gives the person (10) doing the collecting information about every article to be collected in the collecting region, via the computer terminal (6). The localisation installation (7, 8) at least comprises an identification element (7), which is electrically connected to the computer terminal (6), and recognition badges (8) or the like attached to the warehouse shelf units in the collecting region. The identification element (7) is arranged so as to identify the goods deposited in the warehouse shelf unit (5) belonging to every recognition element (7). On the basis of a pulse received by the identification element (7), the computer terminal (6) informs the person (10) doing the collecting of his or her arrival at the articles to be collected, of the quantity of the latter to be collected and of the exact position on every one of the warehouse shelf units (5). <IMAGE>
