Isoindoline dyestuffs of the general formula <IMAGE> in which A represents <IMAGE> or <IMAGE> B represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl or phenyl which is optionally substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine, C1- to C4-alkyl, C1- to C4-alkoxy and/or phenyl and R represents methyl or ethyl. In plastics and coatings, the dyestuffs yield neutral yellow to reddish-yellow to yellowish-red dyeings with very good fastnesses.
