MANUFACTURE OF SCREEN PRINTING MESH FOR PREVENTION OF HALATION

PURPOSE:To improve the preventive property against halation in sensitization and exposure, by treating the mesh made of the dyeing polyester or nylon of not less than a specific mesh by the low temperature plasma of specific inorganic gas. CONSTITUTION:The mesh made of yellow dyed polyester or nylon of not less than 100 mesh is kept in the low temperature plasma generator. Inorganic gas is supplied at a low pressure of 0.01-10torr and high frequency power is applied between electrodes. The surface of the mesh is cleaned. After drying, it is generally coated with photosensitive or heatsensitive resin emulsion on the market. The mesh is made hydrophylic by the treatment of plasma, the coating property of which is improved, and the resin layer of a uniform film thickness can be easily formed. it is lastly finished by exposure and heating. Because minute uneven surface is formed on the surface by plasma treatment, the halation-preventive effect is improved.
