The invention relates to a roof ridge covering having edge strips which extend along the two upper edges of the roof tiles which are close to the roof ridge and are supported by roof battens, the edge strips being longitudinally adapted to the outlines of the roof tiles and being held by overlapping the upper edges of the roof tiles, the roof ridge tile resting on the said edge strips, the distance between the overlap and the ridge beam being bridged by means of a cover; the invention proposes, to achieve a solution which is favourable especially from the point of view of roofing technology, that the bridging be formed from a trussed strip (3) which is pulled up to the face (18') of the ridge beam (18) and is provided with holes (8) below the roof battens (2) which support the roof tiles close to the ridge, the said holes (8) being overlain by covering surfaces (9) which project in a dormer-like fashion. <IMAGE>
