PURPOSE:To form a good reversal image by subjecting a silver halide photosensitive material to image exposing then increasing the surface sensitivity of silver halide without using water then developing. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photosensitive material having a silver halide emulsion layer contg. internal latent image type silver halide which is not preliminary subjected to fogging is preliminarily subjected to a stage for image exposing and thereafter the surface sensitivity of the silver halide is increased by using substantially no water and is then the photosensitive material is developed. The surface sensitivity of the silver halide is increased by resting the internal silver halide photosensitive material for a prescribed period in an active gaseous atmosphere of, for example, gaseous hydrogen, gaseous ammonia, sulfurous acid gas, gaseous hydrogen sulfide, etc. |
