The device for regulating the strip tension of strip-shaped rolling stock, in particular fine strips, in cold rolling mills has at least one bending roll (11) arranged in the entry (9) to the roll stand (10), acting on the strip (6) to be rolled and having a variable flexure as the manipulated variable for the regulation of the distribution of the tensile stress in the strip over its width. The regulating device can be integrated into known flatness and strip-thickness regulating systems which operate with roll cooling and roll lubrication, roll flexure and obliquity of the work rolls in the plane of the roll axis as manipulated variables. <IMAGE>
