The invention relates to a container 1 for holding and for dispensing from a drinks carton 7, in which there is inserted in the container 1, which is box-shaped and open at the top, a drinks carton 7 the height of which is the same as that of the container 1, there being integrally formed on one narrow side 3 a tongue 5 which lies in the plane thereof and can be extended upwards and there being integrally formed on the opposite narrow side 2 a tongue 6 which can likewise be extended upwards, the plane of which tongue b, however, is inclined towards the outside counter to that of the narrow side 2, and the length of the tongues 5, 6 in the longitudinal direction of the narrow sides 2, 3 is less than the corners 9, 10 of the drinks carton 7, which jut out there and possibly have already been partially cut off. <IMAGE>
