PURPOSE:To prevent the insertion of different types of media to the internal part of a device by providing an identifying code by an invisible optical absor bent at the inserting tip side to a reading/writing device of a portable recording media, and reading it in the vicinity of the media inserting port. CONSTITUTION:At the inserting tip side of an IC card, a bar code is printed by an invisible infrared ray absorbing paint. In the vicinity of the internal part of a card inserting port 11 of a reader/writer U, an infrared ray reflecting type sensor 24 is provided, and when the read bar code is regular, a shutter 12 is opened, card shifting means 13 and 14 are operated, the card is shifted up to the internal part of the reader/writer U, a contact part 18 is contacted to the external terminal of the IC card and the necessary information is read and written. |
