According to the invention a cylindrical valve housing, which has the gas inlet connection at its rear end, viewed in the direction of flow, is arranged in the air intake connection for mixing of gaseous fuel and combustion air in gas-driven internal combustion engines. The gas having entered the valve housing can leave the valve housing by way of axial wall ports, which open into the intake air flow. The axial ports can be sealed by a sealing cylinder covering the ports, which is preloaded by spring force in the closing direction and can be acted upon in the opening direction by means of an air flow pressure plate on which the combustion air flow acts, which plate is supported so that it is axially displaceable on the valve housing from where it extends in a radial direction into the air intake connection. In addition the base of this valve cylinder can also be used as a sealing element, which under the effect of the closing spring shuts off the gas inlet aperture when the air flow pressure plate is not acted upon by intake air. |
