PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for distributing contents, capable of efficiently allocating radio communication channels to be used for contents distribution. SOLUTION: A contents distributing station 200 is provided with a channel- assigning part 13 for judging whether the number of contents receiving stations which receive the distribution of contents is large or small, and for deciding channels for distribution. When the number of the contents-receiving stations which receive the contents is large, when there are presence of the notification of distribution requests from contents receiving stations 100, or during the distribution, broadcast channels are assigned as channels for distributing the contents. When the number of the contents receiving stations is small, occupancy channels are assigned to the pertinent contents-receiving stations. |
