In a transport and storage container (10) made of cardboard material in the form of a straight cylinder which is closed essentially on all sides and has side surfaces (11 to 14) which form the cylinder surface, a bottom (15) and closure lid (16) which is linked to one side wall (14), the handling is improved during repeated opening and closing as well as filling and removing storage and transport goods whilst maintaining its stackability, due to the fact that a) a tray (23) which is open at the top, is displaceable in the direction of the generating line of the container and can be completely removed therefrom, consisting of side walls (17 to 20) and a bottom (21) made of cardboard material, is arranged inside the container (10) in such a way that its bottom (21) bears essentially in parallel against the side wall (14) of the container (10) exhibiting the closure lid hinge (24), b) the side walls (17 and 19) and the bottom (21) and the open side (22) of the tray (23) likewise form a cylinder which fits with slight play in a positive-locking manner into the cylinder interior of the container (10), and c) the side wall (20) of the tray (23) facing the closure lid (16) is arranged inclined at an obtuse angle of preferably about 100 DEG to 150 DEG relative to the bottom (21) of the tray. <IMAGE>
