PURPOSE:To correct the tool length without removing a tool by bringing into contact and coupling rough surfaces of a stuck clutch plate with the end surface of an adjustment screw screwing into a thread hole coaxial with the tool fitting hole of a holder proper and the end surface of the shank section of the tool respectively. CONSTITUTION:One face of a circular, then base 31 with a uniform thickness is formed in rough surfaces 32 to constitute a clutch plate 30, which is stuck so that the rough surfaces 32 are brought into contact with the end surface of the shank section 20 of a tool and the end surface of an adjustment screw 23 respectively. When correcting the tool length, the shank section 3 is extracted from the cylinder of a machine tool, the driving gear 14 of a holder 1 is rotated, and the tightening of the shank section 20 of the tool by a taper collect 5 is loosened via the engagement of bevel gears 16, 12. When the relative rotation is applied to the holder proper 1, the adjustment screw 23 is driven to rotate via the coupling of the tool 20 and adjustment screw 23 with the rough surfaces 32, 32 of the clutch plate, thus the tool length can be corrected without removing the tool from a fitting hole 2. |
